Overview
We transform Han Dian’s outdated site into a modern, bilingual showcase of their quality and innovation, elevating their online presence
Background
Rapid website delivery for an urgent exhibition in just one week
Han Dian’s old website had an overly complex information structure, cluttered content, and outdated design. It urgently needed a new look to establish a professional image. With a food exhibition just a week away, their initial plan was to create a simple “coming soon” page. However, I saw the UK’s largest food exhibition, the IFE (International Food & Drink Event), as a prime opportunity to showcase their products, making a fully functional website essential.
We proposed completing the homepage, company profile, product introduction, services, and contact sections in English first, with a phased approach. Detailed product pages and the Chinese version could be added later. We successfully launched the first version of the website before the exhibition. During the event, numerous vendors left enquiries on the site.
Throughout the process, UX CIRCLES identified many inaccuracies in the information provided by Han Dian and assisted with proofreading and refining the content to ensure the best possible presentation.
Starting with wireframes to confirm the requirements and primary layouts
Han Dian was not familiar with the web development process and its requirements. To ensure transparent and smooth communication, we utilised wireframes to visualise their needs. This approach helped the client better understand the content layout, facilitating clearer and more effective discussions.
I used Figma, allowing the client to view progress at any time, which also aided their internal communication. In the early stages, any issues, or suggestions for text and images, could be directly commented on within the platform.
